G2 wide angle options

Does anyone have any experience using Canon's own wide convertor (WC-DC58 with adaptor) for the G2? How well does it work? Looks pretty unwieldy. It works out to be about like a 28mm lens, ya?

Any other 3rd party solution? Maybe something that goes down to 24mm or lower.

try not to get the Vitacon series, which could introduce quite a lot of distortion and reduction in image quality.

Possible to post an example? How bad is the distortion? How about at the lowest end only?
