just bought G10 hk set from new sankyo camera co at 3900 hkd yesterday at hk. Set comes with just whatever is in the G10 box. No extras gifts etc. Shop is located at tsim sha tsui exit D1. However I think I bought the only set.

That's very expensive.... US MSRP is only US$499, include tax of 7% GST, its only SG$800. Canon singapore is not pricing it right.

There's another fact he missed out. $869 is the recommended retail price. Actual selling price is usually lower than that.

Ya well, i was suprised too. Alot of them told me that it was gonna come in end of the month...etc etc... however the day i bought it, which was some time last week, they already have it in most of the better known stores. Even Wing Hing (i forgot the name but it has 2 stores in Mong Kok quite famous) have them but at over 4000 HKD also HK set and they said that they just got it too.. The cheapest i saw was a jap set at Tsim Sha Tsui at 3800.

Is the warranty for G10 international or local? Wondering if it's the same story as DSLR which are local warranty, but lens are international...

But, I was stunned when this lady who was sitting in front of me; at Ah Mei concert; using a G9. The image is good despite the low light.

I would think G10 will be popular given the great advancement in consumer technology. Some say the gap between consumer products and medium formats has been closing recently!

They r selling at $790.

I've check with the salesman at vivo lastweek and he said it should be here in a week or
two. What's good is it costs lesser than G9. G10 $869, G9 $899. I'm not sure why its cheaper.
