these cine lenses look very interesting. So, the "spinning" effect is due to the fact that the circular of the lens (whatever the correct term is) is smaller than the sensor?

Chiif, wonder if you can shed more details on this like some pictures of the body+lens and especially the lens adapter (c-mount ?). Where can I get one??? ;p

the swirling bokeh sure looks interesting. wonder if anyone can tell which lenses give such bokeh.....especially one that can be used on a Lumix G1 ;p

The pix in post #15 above was taken with a Elgeet 25mm f1.9 C-mount lens on G1 using a C-MFT adapter:

AFAIK, not all C-mount lens can produce swirling bokeh. Those with limited image circle and not well-corrected ones are more likely to do so. I know CJZ25/1.4 does, and Bell and Howell 1 inch Super Comat F1.9 also swirling like crazy. see pix below:

OK... I do sell the adapter to mount C lens to G1 body. But I just ran out of stock now. Will come in a couple of weeks time. Will list the items on my web site soon.

The C lenses cine lenses used on 16mm movie cameras in the 50s (I think) and are pretty affordable compared to the Leica screw & M glasses.

I am not expert in this area. My SiFu (Mr Yau) T-Loan the glass to me and I am also learning the ropes...

Check out eBay on C mount lenses.

On my side... will do more research and post more pics when I have the hours... :sweat:

As far as C to Micro 4/3 adapter is concerned, the best one is from Japan (but expensive, more than US$100).
The next most reliable one (and yet still affordable) is made by a Taiwan guy: Hawkpeng. Can get one here;
the one to avoid is from China (by Jinfinance, shown here (I have one, focusing cannot reach infinity!) Of the three, I highly recommend Hawkpeng's adapter.
