I found that for my fz28, whenever i try to use slightly higher speed indoors, the pictures taken are always complete dark. And the thing is, the lcd looks only slightly dark but after pushing the shutter, the picture capture is not what I saw. Was it my camera lcd settings?

did the lcd show RED f-stop and shutter speed?... u must press ur shutter button half way to see wat ur photo will agar agar turn out to be like... if the words is red... it mean either overexpose of underexpose... for ur case its under expose, so picture turn out black

The new FZ38 seems rather disappointing, there's nothing worth upgrading. No new lens, no new sensor, no zoom rings. More noise. I guess Canon didn't make the dumbest move of the year after all.

Hi Ombre, yeah I agree, the specs of FZ38 seem a bit ordinary, nothing new, except a couple of extra megapixels.
I noticed we are now up to 850 posts on this thread, after reaching 1000 on the old one not that long ago. Please forgive my ignorance but I didn't think you were straying and were bringing up valid points, what was the need for a moderator to stick his/her nose in for? Again forgive my ignorance again but what is a WTS post anyway?

firstly, WTS means 'want to sell'.
secondly, the thread is cleaner now cuz i've been cleaning up all the irrelavent posts.

anyway for your information, sticking our noses in to these threads is what we mods are supposed to do.

But i believe this is a FZfriends thread n most of us have met each other n have become frens in some way....
most are fellow FZ users / ex Fz users...

i believe this is one of the longest running threads thanks to Omber the tread setter..
Thus unless Ombers is complaining abt OFF topicness, i believe its okay rite omber ?

skyguys was onli posting his WTS thread here cuz we are the ones he intends to sell to
as i and another had express interest..

Anyway, i understand ur hard work and thank you for the effort in maintaining Clubsnap.
but hope you allow the decision to manage / delete post in this thread to omber. unless of cuz its some illegal post whiich i understand fully that the mods have to act.

its is wrong to post our pictures that we took with an FZ or as an FZ user here ?
this is an Fz user Thread is it not ?
wont make sense if we took a sunset, a little gal n a cat / insect in 3 different thread rite ? since the main point is to show the qty of the FZ camera n not the pictures rite ?

Thus i think it should be allowed should it not ?
look forward to ideas and how we should go about posting or Fz pictures.

well, the 'plain' English language is very subjective if you've studied its roots. i'm not sure which one you're referring to but i guess it's good to learn a few more 'other' types of english, like the ones used on the net worldwide. =)

this thread happens to reside inside the equipment discussion forum, which is not meant for everyday picture posting nor chitchats.

i can move this thread to the kopitiam, where you guys can continue your chats, but picture posts still have to go to the photo galleries.

actually to justify posting images here, they should be technical in nature, eg. images with separate 100% crops showing CA or noise, iso performance, lens issues, color shifts, lens characteristic issues, etc, with relevant questions or observations to match.

if not, it'll just be another nice picture which i'd advise you guys to share with the rest of the forum by posting in the respective photo galleries.

Looks like we might have to include all exif details with every pic. Cut the friendly banter, cuzit isn't technical. This thread was generally used by a small (unfortunately) group of friends that meet occassionally, help with advice, care about their friends, and were drawn together by a common ownership of a lump of plastic, metal an glass. Sometimes the thread would go without posts for a week, becaue everyone is extremely busy and when they could get back , touch base with their friends. Post are going to be fewer and far between.
Can all FZers that I have met please pm your contact details to me so I can look you up when I arrive in S/pore next trip, cuz this thread will die. Shame, dissappointing, very dissappointing. :nono:

dun worry, most of us will still be here to give our advice on FZ stuff.. if any fz user were to notice this thread. I will most probaly check this post once per week for any update when sch start.

Anyway i have just got my 2nd hand D90 with 50mm f1.8... not bad... not very use to the change of lens and no viewing from liveview...lol... unlike fz

yup, good and relevant point there... this place can still post nice power picture... just need to add in info stat and how its done to take tat pic...(which i sometime quite lazy to do...LOL)

panasonic should give some us sponsor for helping them to advertise so effectively ...LOL

To the Moderator:

I know it is futile in attempting to gain a concession for this particular thread. Policies are there for obvious reasons. This, I wouldn't disagree with you.

But I'm sticking up for the guys for this one. Similarly, I bought the FZ28 because of the pics posted by the guys in this thread. They demonstrated the potential of this camera, and showed me the possibilities that are achievable with this camera. These in turn, aided me in making an informed decision.

Further, though the postings can be "non-technical" at times, it is exactly this reason that kept this thread alive for us new users. Notably, almost all the senior thread posters for the FZs have moved on to DSLRs. However, they unselfishly revisit this thread on a regular basis to avail themselves to us newbies with a point of reference for the FZs. Personally, I find their "non-technical" discussions endearing.

Thank you Ombre, navlem, Skyguy, Clunk... etc. Thank you for sticking around. I appreciate all the help that you've given everyone. And Ombre, thanks for starting this thread.:thumbsup:
