LOL, now who is the organiser since skyguy is busy? :S

Melvan has expressed his interest to lead the team to a fun-filled day. Thus,

I officially announce that Melvan, aka Navlem will be our organiser-in-charge for the next outing!

Wah, Sabo me. Win liao. :(

Melvan wants to go to the treetop walk, but no one knows how to get there. Inputs anyone?

From I read, must go from MacRitchie Reservoir. I've checked and the nearest MRT stations to MacRitchie is Braddell

From MacRitchie to TreeTop needs to walk at least about 2-3hr between reaching. It is quite a long journey to it.

But if you got car, it is quite fast. As during the exploring, saw a nearby carpark. But no sure how car get to it. :dunno:

The TreeTop is a one way bridge, you have to enter from entrance and then exit at the other end, no turning back during the bridge walk. ;p;p

I heard that distance before the treetop walk is part of the 10km. So it should be ok

Tree top walk from macritchie meaning the one that you gotta walk along rifle range road?have trekked there 2 times before..nice :) by the way i can only confirm after the time is confirmed! so for me, it's TBC

I can't confirm anything also, it was just a checklist of number of people, if too little we might just switch to a different day.

Lets say 12nn? Would you be able to make it?

Im not sure if I can make it, that's my assignment and exam study week. Last module for the year already.

Seems like not much people can make it :S

Hi Melvan, maybe it is too long a walk, might be a bit off putting for some, your mother and I can do it with you any time during our stay. How about picking another venue that will be more user friendly to those that are short on time and will not sap the energy for the rest of the day.
Your mother has not been to Marina Barrage and we both have not been on the Flyer, it was closed down because of power failure when we were going last trip. Feel free to come up with more ideas. Also must think cost, evening shoots are good cuz sunsets are free. And Skyguy cannot resist a sunset.;)
Might get more response for a 1-2 hour gig with makan afterwards?
Also, how about asking LX3 users if they want to join in? :dunno: Just a thought?

I would agree that treetop walk doesn't seem to be a very convenient idea. As for the flyer, its a bit costly for me hah, and I've been up there already, so if you guys want to go there, go ahead, but I'll chill at popeyes chicken below (yummy!).

Marina Barrage... "are we there yet?"

I was thinking, why don't we go around the bugis area where all those oldish looking shophouses are? Anyone familiar with those places? Just a suggestion though, I'm not sure if there is really anything to shoot there...
