try to under expose it, it will gives you detail rather than burn out.

thanks, maybe will try again tomorrow :)

Its not that sharp.. but at least better than my first shot! Came out a white circle.. hahaha..

erm, i doubt its blur, looks more like it is enlarged.

I think a bit out of focus, actually I'm taking using 48x zoom, I think that is why it's blur

mount your camera on a tripod, take about 10-20 exact shots.
then use a stacking software like registrax to stack them up...
this is how astronomers squeeze resolution out of washed out shots...
but of course, astronomers can stack up to hundreds of shots since the more shots, the better the results!

airconvent, thanks for the tips

Hi guys,

As compared to the canon S3 SI, would FZ7 be a better choice not?

Anyone know what is the latest price over at AP now?

MS is selling at 652 excluding GST and comes with only free case.

Wolf, I refer you to this post of mine:

Have a look against sharper images and noisier images, and very soft images and less noisy images.

unseen,
guess i really am just expecting too much from such a small sensor. have thoroughly checked and compared the iso200 and iso400 pics from review sites and compared to similar models from other brands like canon S3, FZ7's pic quality is definitely above them. there is definitely more detail inf FZ7 pics. your post/s really enlightened me. thanks.

one more thing, every review i read complain about noise of FZ7 and almost everybody says Canon has less noise. But after checking S3 and FZ7, my un-trained eyes says that S3 has more noise. are my eyes different from everybody else?

I am new here :) - just purchased FZ7 silver color at Cathay Peninsula $680.00 (include GST) - comes with whatever standard in the box + free camera pouch (hardcover).

Also bought a GIOTTO 0.5 wide angle lens converter 52mm at $55.00 and 1GB SD Card at $50.00 and LCD Screen protector at $15.00. Don't have time to use the camera yet.

I also bought a 3rd party batter at MS Color (AMK) at $30, Cathay only sells original Panasonic bat at $65.00.
