just got myself the FZ 7 from PC show. paid $750 and here's what i got for the package.

FZ 7 and everything in the box.
2 x 1Gb SD card
extra OEM battery from Japan
screen protector
original Lumix hard case (ugly blue but usable)
Tripod (not the stupid small table type - those for hadicam type)
camera clenin kit

i know most of the stuff given are just gimmick but figured the 2 x 1Gb SD card, case, OEM battery and tripod more or less make it a pretty ok deal.

Wonder where I can get the best deal in town now. I saw on bargaincity.com they are selling at $795 with 1X1Gb card and 1X512mb card... Courts is selling for $799 with only 1X512mb card. Wonder if I can get better prices yet... any advise

so far the cam is good based on what little photos i've taken in my house. haven't have a chance to really try it out on more pleasing sorrounding than my own back yard. am trying to find some time to go out and try taking some interesting outdoor shot. will post some photos here if the shoot is good.

you can try MS Color. they gave me best quote before i manage to get a sweeter deal during PC Show.
good luck on the price hunt. you'll not regrat getting FZ7, i didn't.

Then this evening I found in Ebay in HK. FZ7 around only $520 just the camera itself (brand new, never opened)... seems to be great price and my sister is in HK right now.... have you tried getting anything from ebay? risky or not??

try to look at the feedback of that seller, if have many of positive feedback, the risk is minimize.. if not, buy wif ur own risk...

Agree with fly_us. check the seller rating first. if rating is mostly good and has a high number of rating, your risk is minimised.

a couple of my friends swear by ebay and they have bought numerous items from ebay. again, there's some risk. depends on whether how much risk you are willing to take.

another way, you might want to go down to the various shop to negotiate. generally they'll quote higher on phone but are more willing to negotiate face to face.

Hi guys. The catch for the Pana FZ7 at MS Color is that it's in silver! Which was a pity, because had it been in black, would've sealed the deal for me.

Nonetheless, it's a great deal! And a great camera! (Good upgrade over the FZ5, although the images need a bit of tweaking.)

The Fz7 is an upgrade to the Fz5 where features and functions are concerned..image quality not so...

With that, i miss my black Fz5..SOBS.. :sweatsm:
