Where do I send for cleaning if there is fungus on my lens or body.? And cn it be properly or fully removed?

I have just send my dad's camera to the camera hospital at middle road, Sunshine Plaza. The boss told me need to replace a piece of lens in the camera, but not sure if able to do the change. If can't change, then the fungus will still be there.

u can send to service centre.. alt there is a member who do removal of fungus etc.. forget the name u got to search

You can search for "fatigue". He's the bro that do lens works.

As per the Clubsnap terms of use, please SEARCH first. You only needed to search for "fungus".

prevention is better then cure.

if you have not use a dry cabinet, this is the time to get one now.

you can send your lens to Nikon Service Center for clearing, the cost is depends on what type lens need to be clean.

can it be totally remove? that have to depend on how severe it is, nobody can tell you except the repair technician. so send your lens to check it out.

hmm you can bring back to the service center also =)..

If it's ON (outside) the lens and body then just a good wipe with some household cleaner will do. Let it dry properly. If fungus is INSIDE the camera then the mentioned service center and repair shops will be your next contact. And do ponder about proper storage ..

About this part of your question, yes, fungus can be properly and fully removed. But fungus spores are all around us. The important thing is to store your gear properly in an environment that fungus find hard to grow, (dry environment).

Also, if fungus, over time will secret acids, and if left too long on optical glass, will leave marks on lenses and glass elements, because acid will eat into the multicoating and some hybrid glass.
