we are a photography studio specialising in kids and maternity portraits. established since May 2006 by 2 mothers with a passion for photography.
we are expanding and looking to hire a full time female Photography Assistant.
you should be interested in photography, have basic photography knowledge and get along well with children.
fresh grads are welcomed as long as you are willing to learn.
Main Duties:
- Assist photographer (me) during shoots, i will also teach you studio photography techniques and depending on how fast you learn, i will let you take over shooting in a few months time.
- Post processing of photos before sending for printing. you should have Photoshop knowledge.
- If i am shooting, will require you to attend to clients who are selecting their photos on the computer, print out receipts, collect money etc.
Side Duties:
Answer phone calls, take bookings etc
Run errands like buy stationery etc
Collate albums
currently we work on saturdays but from 2008, i will implement a new working schedule. last saturday of the month we will not shoot. also during weekdays, if there are no shoots, you don't have to come to the studio, can work from home. will try and schedule at least one weekday a week no shoot. so it will still be a 5 day week.
salary wise, this is the first time we are hiring someone and our budget is around $1.3k negotiable.
