ok nvm.. just found out tat d90 can't do tat like d300... and tat exposure delay could be used as a substitute.

how do u do mirror lock up on d90???

Yip D90 no dedicated mirror lock, Custom menu D10: "Exposure Delay" This delays the shutter release until about 2 seconds after the mirror has raised. Should be enough to compensate for any vibes caused by the mirror slap.

hi guys... i have actually did watever u guys have suggested but my moon is still over expose and rather not sharp or out of focus, i dunno why...

F11, 1/60sec, iso 400, spot metering, AE lock, AF lock, 200mm... and the setup as stated by previous people

You didnt folo the 'rule' it shld be
Shutter Speed 1/100
ISO 100
Aperture f8-11
Noise reduction off
These are not the must use but i think its the 'guidlines'.Anyway, moons out gona shoot later u shooting??

will try again tml...

yes there is a UV HMC filter infront... u suggest i took it off?

Take the filter off. Lenses are designed to give optimal quality without them. Filters are designed (and marketed) to have a positive effect. Most, even a real ex one will have a negative effect on picture quality, even if only slight.

Try it if u want after mounting so that you minimise the chances of dropping anything.

yea here is my shot on the moon yesterday, at last i got some better, at least not overexpose, though not very sharp, at least my photo look like wat i see from the viewfinder.. edited abit in photoshop to darken the orange moon, yesterday moon at about 9plus to 10 is rather orange red...

anyway, wat i did was using the setting suggested by eosanday and lamergod... and find the pic underexpose, and from there i slowly adjust to get wat i wanted... thanks ppl

Nice pictures there; they definitely look better than the original ones you posted. Good work!
