Actually the pixel density of the 36MP FF sensor is no different from the 16MP APSC sensor. What a lot of users are concerned about would be the edge sharpness and light fall-off of existing lenses on the bigger sensor.

Why would this chap want to compare this camera with the 645Z?............

it makes people who can't afford 645Z very happy with K-1, and believe they get themselves a mini 645Z, best value for money.

of course, people who can afford 645Z can easily get additional K-1 as their backup without double weight.

double selling points i think, since 645Z and K-1 are targeting 2 group of people with different budgets; making them both happy with what they got.

Not to mention 645 is a bargain compared to other mf digi cams...just like K1

Pentax always do things the way they want to heck with the Jones'...that is what makes Pentax great

Thx jk....seems his fa*28-70 A*200 macro can perform well on K1...great news for all the old lenses....
