Fujifilm X series (mirrorless) quality and service

when i went to challenger to enquire about Panny cameras, the sales person told me the service by Panasonic sucks....i am not sure if that a sales tactic or not to sway me to other brands

Might be a sales tactic, or it might be possible it has sucked for others. Since on CS, think almost every service centre has had customers with negative experiences to share.

Thankfully my own limited experience has been okay. Had EVF unit replaced in my GH3 under warranty some months back, as well as purchase some spare parts (EVF eyecup). From email enquiry, to dropping off the camera, to collection (less than a week if I recall correctly), all went as expected. No fuss, no drama.

Come to think of it, maybe their experience in servicing a broad range of consumer products necessitates a certain level of efficiency/service. It's hard to imagine that their service for camera products sucks but service for hairdryers is okay...

consumers generally don't care if you have a HR problem in your company. they buy from you and if they have a problem they expect the problem to be fixed by your company ASAP with as little inconvenience as possible. when i went to challenger to enquire about Panny cameras, the sales person told me the service by Panasonic sucks....i am not sure if that a sales tactic or not to sway me to other brands

I'll say Panasonic customer services are more of the quiet but honorable type. They don do ra ra and engage the customers as much as for example Olympus do but they do get the job done.

For example when my 12-32 had issues and brought it down, the guy then was so good enough that he gave a 1-1 replacement on the spot , even making one of his guys run over to the counter from another office when it was close to closing time.

you must be a charmer, everywhere you go also get good service. :embrass:

Maybe :) but I don think I'm a good customer to some brands , for example Sony whom I bugged sufficiently for a fix to their A7 light leak issue.

I've forwarded the feedback u have direct to Fujifilm Asia pacific marketing div side, they have reverted that they have noted the feedback and will be revamping the service centers in 2015 ( which is a month away) and will strive to do better.
