Hi zzkkc, the pictures are very nicely taken:)
Very sharp & colorful
what setting did you use?

I know that this camera had problem with Purple Fringing
I notice that there is not much PF during your first few photos
but can notice it in some of the photos, especially in the last few shots.
Anyone got solution to this problem?

Hi

Thanks for the comment.
Most of the photo were taken with "Nature Vivid" you did mentioned about Purple Fringing.
Can show me which photos having this problem?:)

Thanks for the reply on the price of batteries.

Nice pics.

Dynamic range appears noticable better compared to S9500. But colors... I feel that something is missing. Seems to be not so "vibrant and yummy". I also don't know how to describe. I felt the same when i compare S3 Pro and S5 Pro. S5 Pro output is very good, but somehow, i feel something is missing... some how...

Maybe due to the generation of sensor or some settings (or maybe it is just me?).

Anyway, output from S100fs looks gd. Can consider  for family and normal day use.

The extended dynamic range from the newer generation sensors cause a reduction in color saturation. Also, the new sensor has a different anti-aliasing filter. This can be another possible factor.

No more purple fringing
what software did you use to remove PF?
PhotoShop or PF Killer that zzkkc recommended:)

For zzkkc, the PF is very clear if you zoom in about 800% from the photos.
If in 100%, not really easy to spot the PF:)

The steps and methods I used in Photoshop was quite similar to PFKiller (which is an .ATN file). But mine has more control over the mask, whereas PFKiller just 'kill' everything that has purple edges.

Thanks for sharing:)
what is an .ATN file?
Do I need photoshop or other software to use it?
No money to buy photoshop leh;p

.ATN file is Adobe Photoshop Actions file.

By the way, you can subsitute with either Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 (which is equalvalent to 80% of Photoshop CS3) or use Adobe Photoshop Express (free of charge).

Ah... You will have to attend my Adobe Photoshop workshop to find out. The next intake is in July. ;)

Or, you can use PFKiller and be happy (it serves similar purpose, but not much control).
