Fujifilm launches the FUJINON XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR

Any of the bro bought this lens?
What do you think of the lens? Heavier, bulky? Worth the money or is the 18-55 more value?

I tried it on an X-T1. It's a big relative to the camera and makes the set front heavy. That said, it's still very manageable and lighted compared to a DSLR. For the front heavy part, it should balance out with the battery grip.

I am still waiting to see what is the price across the causeway. will probably get it if it's below $1300.
If it can perform like the 50-140 in high ISO, then i will most likely get it.

Had tested and had a bit of fun with the 16-55/2.8. It is bulky with diameter thickness such that the base of the XT1 gets propped up but it will be a necessity if one needs the constant f2.8 with excellent image quality.

the 18-55mm runs from f2.8 to f4 and it has OIS and as such is still one of the very best kit lenses I've come across giving v.good image quality too. I'll say get the 16-55/2.8 if its within one's budget and ability to carry around, if one is going for a balance between IQ, Speed and Cost - the 18-55/2.8-4 is the one to get.

Lastly, if one really has issues shooting without IS, then it maybe good to consider the 18-55/2.8-4 instead.

Erm , yeap of course - can't run from physics . Heavier and one uses a 72mm filter while the Olympus one uses a 62mm filter.

Anyone using this lens now ? how do you find it? I m thinking of getting it....cos i find IQ of x100T cannot match the 50--140.

Shops in funan still quoting 16xx....while shops outside 15xx , about 100 cheaper
