Fujifilm FP100C45 Fujifilm PA-45 on Toyo 45A

What time you guys meeting? I'll text you!

Wa mamypoko really my hero LOL! I'm sort of comtemplating 8x10 in the near future and you got it LOL!

Hand itchy wanna try wet plate, I'm meeting woostk for kopi and a short shoot today to talk bout wet plate

I was tempted by the Mamiya press once.

Maybe can shoot with you one day please :)

The finished photo on the FP100B45 is not that bad. I like the results. The scanning (copied using LX3) though is not very clear.

Scanning fp film is very headache for me, marks & dusts become so obvious at dark area. hard to improve on scanning and PS skill.

Mamiya Universal/Press is very interesting set to play with, I got it because of Polaroid, then found out its operation can be very close to LF camera. A lot of accessories are available like sheet film back, focus back, extension ring, etc.

Except FP film, I only tested shoot one roll of 6x9 with it, result is not very bad.

I will try to catch up with MF/LF gathering, then you play with it.

Direct positive paper needs to play around with filters.....

Wootsk was there too. :)

Then you'd have to filter the scene such that it will tone down the contrast. The proven way is to preflash the papers before exposure. This is one application where the old uncoated lenses may help but you'd need to take care of flare.

Wow, you are my hero man! When can we see you in action?

I had been following the China 8X10 site in Xitek. They are now hot as well. But 8X10 film where to buy? Doing only Positive paper?

Most major sites like b&h adorama maco stocks them. Get one for yourself buddy! A4 size contacts rocks!!!

ShenHao boss is tempting me..... :(

You can give some training on positive paper. Need a lot of filters to cater for the scene!!

This place is getting more and more poisonous, better stay away far far...

Why not you get one also, and convert to use your Epson V700 to scan?

hi jon

how u find the color of the fuji instant film? when compared to color slide.

The color is better than the Polaroid I used to have many years ago :)

Not bad leh.

where do u buy them? sgcamera selling at around $19 per box.. but it is fp-100c silk..

Is that the 4X5 sized? $19 I will buy all from them.

I bought from Ebay. US$35.

oh.. i look closer, it is not 4x5

8.5 cm x 10.8cm

nvm lah, before ur d800 arrive your sensor also crop one ;p

The FP45 film can be recovered. I made some mistakes and ruined most of them.

May be can recover 2 of them. Taped down to a flat surface, and remove the black back using bath room Mr. Muscle bleach.
Then wash with water. ready for rescan.

Guys… I don't know if you've got the word - the 4x5 format of the FP film has been discontinued. Its a real pity. So get whatever stock that you can lay your hands on. The 3.25x4.25 format is still available. The FP is really the best instant film in the history. With no new camera using the fp film, no one knows how much longer are they going to be around.

that's so unfortunate.. time to shoot more polaroids.. otherwise in the future, want to shoot also no more chance:dunno:

Sad news.....

Ebay still has sufficient stock. I plan to order another 100 (10 boxes) and that will be it for FP100C45.

Shooting PF100C is great especially for 4X5. Avoid making mistakes and one wasted is too expensive.

So sad to hear it because I yet to start to try on my PA45 back.

I felt that the resolution of FP film cannot 100% reflect the true ability of lens, but should be good enough as test shoot. If I more focus on MF, I am thinking if that still need to purchase some FP3000 45, or just let it go.....

can this toyo fitted with the polaroid 545 back? or must it be a PA45?
