i went to sitex yesterday..was quoted $479 with the freebies indicated on the brochure + 1 extra 3rd party batt...is it a good deal?

same here.. i did go and ask.. it is still 20 dollars more expensive than the shops but with free battery.

ppl at hwz got it for

"I got my F200EXR at 479.
Free gift total were 2 8GB card, 1 extra batt, camera case, screen protector, 2nd and 3rd year warranty + card reader..."

seems like a better deal than the camera shops now with the extra warranty, extra 8gig card

Hi guys, I just bought a f200 today and I realised that the start-up takes approx 12 seconds before I can do anything. Is it supposed to take THAT long?!

hi, perhaps u can post some of your pics so that we can advice. "better image" is very subjective and varies from person to person. by better image, do you mean:

1. Lower noise?
2. sharper/blur free images?
3. better dynamic range?
4. better composition?

I had also just bought my F200EXR. Been doing some test shots. Compare to my previous pns compacts, the night shots are better at high iso. However, it is no where near the standards of DSLR, especially from iso800 onwards so you have to manage your own expectaions.

I like to share some casual shots taken last evening. All are shot handhled, EXR auto and most are at iso 1600. Noise can be improved if I have a tripod and limit iso to 400 max.
