Fujifilm F200EXR is a GEM

if travelling or on tour, better to buy higher capacity ones. read somewhere there are >3000mAh available but is there a limit on the max for the supplied charger?:p

yeah... i saw in this forum too, some1 said he bought 2500mAh, i asked the result how many pic able to shot, but no reply from him yet.
i went to Simlim 2nd floor Battery World to ask about this, the sales advice it could be higher capacity, but will not have big different coz the size of the battery itself is the same, so the usage ofcoz cannot run far from the origin.

but i really wish to get 1 battery can last for abour 400 shots like other cameras.

it would be a PERFECT cam for me. haha

Seems that a lot of F200 users feedback on its below average battery life.
Can anyone provide some usage info on the no. of shots which can be achieved with the original battery(assuming not using flash)? Thanks in advance.

er.... Do u mean the batt is not really fitting perfectly to the batt compartment? Mine is also like that. the yellow notch dun really block the supplied battery firmly. The supplied battery looks "thinner" than the compartment. Seems like the batt compartment also allows for some bigger size battery? I'm not really sure....
looks like we're in the same boat..

hate to say, waiting for the battery to fully charged,,,got the F200exr earlier today....so so crowded.....got the cam and just left....

cheers

bro, finally got your F200EXR

Went to comex fair just now, after all the walks around camera booth, i have handpicked the F200EXR to be a good buy from the show. My gf is satisfy with the sharpness of IQ compare to her previous P&S camera. Comparing the F70Exr, a newer model, but it doesn't match the sharp IQ from the 200exr.

In the end, we bought the F200Exr for $480. aiya... see from a previous thread, that shops in funan are letting it go for $450+, haiz.. shd have taken a walk there to check it out as well.....
I suspect for the last day of sale... fujifilm willl drop price further...

got the 3500mAh one from Song Bro for $25. Not sure how much longer as compared to the orig 900mAh one but at $25, it's still worth a try.

Hi, I've also bought the 2500mAh battery from CP.

Cheers! :)

The one that came free with my purchase was a "DiviPower" "premium quality" 2500mAH battery. Have not tested its endurance because I do not measure it. usually will charge my original battery even when it is not depleted yet. But one thing about this guy, I charged it once when I first got it months ago. 2 days ago I popped it into my camera and it still registered as full charge! :)

Found this amazing comparison to F200EXR,

what strike me was this statement
"The only camera that was successful in capturing highlight detail in the brightest part of the model's white sweater and hair/face while maintaining good overall exposure and shadow detail, was the Fuji F200EXR. I am sorry to say, this includes my Canon IDsMarkII.
"

Wow..wow..wow...matching the Canon 1DsMarkII :bigeyes::bigeyes:

i don't think when blown up, there is no way it can match the 1ds I/II/III. the sensor size already loses out

Not a surprise.. I believe in term of DR the F200EXR can win most of the DSLR out in the market now..;)

can JPEG file "match" (let alone give more detail than) RAW file? - :nono:
can F200EXR capture RAW file? - :nono:
