Fuji X100 - Part 2

Hi Guys, a new happy owner of X100 here. just want to know your opinion regarding the extended warranty. I went to Fuji yesterday and they offered me the extended warranty for S$170. is this ok? should i get it? they told me that I can only avail this within 14 days after purchase. so bit of a panic mode here haha.

Personally for me.... Nope.

So far I only see major people having issues with the Len's sticky aperture blades and Fuji so far had taken responsibility repairing/replacing them.

So far the camera had not failed on me since day one it released, my purchase and having carried daily with me in my bag + travelling overseas.
(NOTE: EXTRA BATTERIES IS A MUST !!! on days you intend to be taking pics full day throughout)

Nonetheless if money not an issue. It's bonus that you take-up the extended warranty offer.....

Hi. I'm seriously considering to get X100.

Is it to late for get it now? My main concern it will announce replacement soon after I bought it. Fuji Discontinues X100, Possibly Bringing X200 Follow Up to Photokina This article suggest that replacement is nearing as they had discontinued production of X100...

Ok, just found another updated article Earlier Reports Confirmed As False: The Fujifilm X100 Is Not Discontinued... But is it still advisable to get it now???

Any comments and suggestion?

Then go get it. It is at a good price now and its a great cam still, whether discontinued or not.
You can wait for the new one, probably a few months later and at higher price, premium you pay for something new.
Unless its not the only camera you have but you will have use this time to shoot many nice pics already.

If you're in Jakarta this week, there's a promo until Nov. 30 of X-100 silver + original leather case + original lens hood + original Wide Converter WCL-X100 + 8gb SD for Rp. 9,990,000.- ( roughly about SGD 1,250 ). I think that's a yummy deal...

i am considering the wcl. but the bulk doesn't look too appealing for me now, especially since i plan to make it a ninja camera. its a really nice camera, for a good buy too. just got it 2nd hand awhile back

I prefer that the X100 look without tape... one of the reason I eyed on it was because it was *chio*....

Or can get the black version???

Just got a black x100 at MS colour yesterday at 1499. The price is very reasonable now.

What kind of black tape did you use to paste your x100?
Any glue residue after tearing it?

I'm wondering does your ninja mode really make a difference? Do people react differently when they see your taped up cam?
