Welcome, and enjoy the nice 'huge' camera.

Get a flash, about $100 to $200 at least to improve the flash performance, but only in Manual mode.

No point getting high end compact flash cards, the cam is the limit.

If not included, try to get the 55mm - 55mm adaptor tube, and slap on a UV filter. Not as much as to protect the lens, but more to prevent accidental knocks on the extended lens and to keep dust off.

Sounds like lots of extra money to spend, so you have to prioritise.

Above all, shoot and enjoy.

Thanks for the tips. actually got this cam in whole package, so more or less already have all the above items u mention :)

How much is it these days?Are the colours as dynamic as the other Fuji cameras? :)

It's already replaced by F440 & F450 as the latest model for F-models. I think it's very good as I brought my xd-card to fujifilm store to developed some of the photos & it comes out great. But the only trouble is XD-card is hard to get.

In fact, nowadays, all replacement models for F-models are cost around SGD$699. Some places do sell cheaper.

I noe some shops that do sell XD-card, like Alan Photo, Audio Hse. I am surprised to see Audio Hse @ SLS (Sim Lim SQ) selling XD-Card. But they are selling digital cam nowadays too.

Ermmm... It makes me think twice to recommend my cousin to get this camera.
 

i just bought Fujifilm finepix F440. Anyone sharing the same cam as me? fun playing with a new toy :)

Mine is F420. Even though I dun regret getting this dig.cam, but I regret buying it so early. Hehehee... becos it's so cheap and they kept upgrading the design & functions for F-models. Not like the other ver. for the models, they are changing too fast and almost every yr changing. But still it's a good cam.

Whoa, it's very clear and nice. Clear cut. But did U try to develop any of the pictures? When u develop, it shld be very nice and clean.
