price will be USD799. that would be close to SGD1.5k!!!
Somebody in DPreview's Fuji Talk that it's already available in Hongkong. But at a cost of "HKD$5880(about USD$750)". AsiaOne's Currency Converter page says the equivalent is S$1358.925.

Like that, I'd rather get the Sony F707 liao. 5 Megapixels, 1x zoom less than S602Z (at 5x) PLUS Disney Colors! :D

Hope there'd be some changes to the pricing once it hits the Singapore Stores' Shelves.

What do you think, guys? :)

:Later,

I had ever considered the F707 but didn't like the fact that it uses proprietary batteries, memory stick and proprietary connection for external flash. If someone is starting anew, then it shouldn't bother him/her so much. I've lots of accessories that I want to reuse and I like the high ISO and great movie capturing capability of the S602Z ;p

Thats MSRP lar. likely to be 1300++ on the streets.

at 1300++ is it better to get the canon G2 since it has higher resolution?

4MP + 3x zoom vs 3MP at 6x zoom, unlimited movie mode, iso800 & iso1600 at 1MP vs iso50, dual media vs single?

Oh man, RRP = $1599, street price is prolly $1400+? Damn ex...:(

I think I'm only willing to pay ~1300 for it. Hope the price drops....

I'm a former G2 owner. If you dont mind the "limited" 3x zoom of G2, the proprietary battery and ISO400 max, then go and get it. :)

:Later,

Woo hoo.. tweek, so you've aledy decided to get the Fuji!

Ya man.. 1400 is too much for me... hai....

Have you gone thru cllai's post on the S602 Manual? Can get to know alot about the features from it.

Realised from it (and also from keito the other day when I saw him) that at macro mode, the cam allows you to zoom up to 2.3X only. And at Super macro mode, no optical zoom is allowed. How to take insects like dat!!!??

But then I think maybe it doesn't need to be in Macro mode in the 1st place. Fix on the +4 and zoom to 6X will do (like C700). What do ya think?

Hmm I din know that. I think at super macro mode, you got to go real close to the subject (min focussing distance is 1cm I think) so there's no need to use zoom and filter actually. I think should be able to fix the +4 and zoom to 6x in normal mode and take, but the magnification might not be as large as c700uz's. How about manual focus, can that override the normal mode? Like, in normal mode, zoom 6x in, then manual focus to a short focus distance, and move the camera to focus.

Hmm... it din mention abt the manual focus part. Hmmm.. yup, not sure if that can be done... it'll be fantastic if it can.
