I remember last time when I was very active in HWZ, Corbell actually contacted me to review a Microstar motherboard and offered to sell it to me at a discount..... wonder whether the camera manufacturers would do the same ;p

LOL... Well, at the end of it all, i'm pretty sure that it's our love for our camera and it's ability/capabilities that basically drives us to recommand it to everyone else. :D

Saw some of your pics - great.
Which camera do u use?
Tell me its 602z and I will get it.
Would I have any problems using any flash with the 602z?
Is there a huge shutter lag in this camera?

Sorry to disappoint you. Those shots were taken with Olympus C-2100uz and the earlier ones with canon G2. :)

heard that there is improvement in the pic quality of C730.

Hi Khalua, me a newbie in digital camera too. Like you was also deciding between C730UZ and S602Z. But was afraid that C730UZ might have serious CA problems. So have decided to get the S602Z instead.
Wanna buy S602Z together? Think Verre Vrai interested in getting one too. More people = better price?

hi zephr,

That is a great idea.
So if you are really keen, we can meet up and try to buy in bulk...accessories & all even.
If we can get as many as pple as possible that wld be great.
When do u intend to get it. U can send me email.

But what is CA?

;)

Good cameras.
Anyways, maybe I can get some tips from yourself or wolfgang.
Saw his pics and they were great too.

I think I am going to really like digital photography.

i agreed.

for those who intend to buy, you can join gathering @ sentosa this Sat to have a hand-on seesion, for sure wolf will bring his cam along. it might clear all your doubts on this cam.

IMO, 602z is good buy, proven with the shots by some 602z users and the growing 602z list. Also at the end, it still depend on the of person behind the cam to produce good shots. Practice make perfect.

If they do, which would be a better buy.
Am willing to fork out up to about $1,200/-

Your advice and comments are much appreciated.

:gbounce:

If your budget is really limited to $1.2k, getting the 602 is gonna burst it once u include all the additional batteries, charger, memory cards, filters, bags, etc.. that u'll probably need.. not to mention tripod, flash (since the 602 got hotshoe)... Think u better be prepared to spend at least about $1.5k if u're going for the 602.. :)

Or you may like to buy the cam with basic items like a 128MB CF, lens adapter, UV filter and extra batts for a start. The rest of the items can come later. Should costs around 1.2k plus. :)

Noted.
I guess I could add each one slowly....if the need arises.
Immediate need would probably be more memory cards.

Thanks

Hi Khalua, Verre Vrai's planing to get it during the middle of the month. Not sure about lavenderlilz. As for me, mid of the month shouldn't be a prob.:p
Me also won't be getting everything at once, money not enough. Will only get the camera, memory card, UV filter & maybe the battery charger.:D

i think mid-month might be ok. I think Verre Vrai is putting it on hold as he/she wants to make that the banding in 602 is a non-issue. Its kinda bugging me too.

What is banding? Is it a big issue?
And can someone tell me about whether there is a shutter lag in the 602z. Thanks

Mid-of Nov is fine for me.
But wus thinking whether we should check out the 5050z.
It seems like a really good camera.
BTW, wont the 602z come with a battery charger? We have to buy separately?

No S602 does not come with a free charger.

As for banding.. go through my gallery and see if you can spot it. So far, i have not had any problem with such an issue.

As for shutter lag.. i'm quite acceptable by me and it's pretty low. I guess one of he better way is to drop by Sentosa tomorrow, or ask Lavender after she has field tested my S602 personally. :)

Sorry Wolf...still cant tell what banding is.
Is it suppose to be something obvious in a photograph if its there?
