Fuji Finepix S602 vs Olympus C-730

Hi all,

I am new here and probably newer to the world of digital photography.

Am thinking of getting my first camera.
I need help and comments on the two cameras I am interested in as posted in my subject.

Maybe u can provide additional info like the kind of shots you would like to take, budget(unlimited? ), etc?

hehehe .... another post that is almost like mine except that i am agonising over G2 or 602. Such questions never end, do they? :dunno:

Dun noe much about these cameras but I would like an intermmediate to advance camera with a decent zoom.

Good sharp quality pictures with vibrant colours.
It should also enable me to print on A4 paper with good quality.

Do these cameras fir my bill?
If they do, which would be a better buy.
Am willing to fork out up to about $1,200/-

Your advice and comments are much appreciated.

Its cheaper and has a great 10x zoom.
It also aperture and speed priority modes like the 602.

Any comments on which would be a better camera to buy in terms of picture quality?

I can't find much information abt c-730uz at the moment as it is still relatively new. Maybe u can wait for a couple of weeks more to check the shots taken with this camera.

Saw some of your pics - great.
Which camera do u use?
Tell me its 602z and I will get it.
Would I have any problems using any flash with the 602z?
Is there a huge shutter lag in this camera?

Hi Khalua, me a newbie in digital camera too. Like you was also deciding between C730UZ and S602Z. But was afraid that C730UZ might have serious CA problems. So have decided to get the S602Z instead.
Wanna buy S602Z together? Think Verre Vrai interested in getting one too. More people = better price?

I remember last time when I was very active in HWZ, Corbell actually contacted me to review a Microstar motherboard and offered to sell it to me at a discount..... wonder whether the camera manufacturers would do the same ;p
