dpreview has updated their spec and removed A/S mode

Can't wait to get it, hope there's a super good BUNDLE offer at ITShow...wonder if it supports SDHC...anyway the amazon price translates to $570, if u using 1.5rate....still sounds good to me...

no Aperture priority quite jialat lei hmmm

DP1 will cost 1.5K I bet..
Selling my 17-40L won't buy that.. :(

Can anybody teach me wat's Aperture(& Shutter) priority for, in addition to the full manual mode, where in the full manual you can adjust BOTH aperture size & shutter speed independently?

any idea if this will be out in time for the IT show?

Yeah, was holding on to F11 last time when F30/31 came out, hoping to skip a generation and get better model with SD support and anti vibration on the next. But when F50 arrived, it was a disappointment as the IQ was not on par with F30/31, and the battery life wasn't that great either (comparatively the battery life of F11 is nothing short of amazing, I could go on to a trip for 2 weeks, snap all the way and come back with more then half of the battery left without charging). Hope F100fd will do better.

May i know what do u mean by IQ in a camera?

For F11, F31 and F50fd, which one do you think is the best among them?

A priority is that you set and fixed the Aperture eg: f/4 and the cam works out the shutter speed to use.

S priority is the same, you set the shutter eg: 1/100 and the cam works out the aperture to use.

in P&S terms, M(manual) mode usually means P(program) mode for DSLR users where A & S are preset for the current exposure and all you can do it + or - ev as well as do adjustments to ISO, flash power, etc.. A & S cannot be set independently, this has been the case with F11 & F31.

Well, in that case Aperture/Shutter priority modes are like semi-manuals is it? Wouldn't a full manual, i.e. set aperture/shutter be better than those?

with the F30/F31, you can, with limitations, set A & S independently, e.g. first using the A mode to set aperture, then using exposure compensation (+/- 2EV) to set shutter speed.

so this cam don't even have A and S mode now..

oh no

F100fd will prob cost about 650.

Product is coming soon. Lets hope 2moloh computer fair has it.

F100fd is a No-go for me. F31fd will be a legend and the best in the series.

sometimes I dun understand the manufacturers... they come out with newer models but remove or make worse certain features which discerning consumers clearly wish to have.

as for the 28mm, IMHO, it's nothing to shout about as there are many other brands which can do it too.
