Was down at Ruby today and enquired about the availability of bulk film like RDP. Was surpize to hear the shop attendant say that they have a backlog and that Fuji only sends at the most 5 cans at a time.

I wonder why this is the case when there is demand for the film why would Fuji not capitalize on that. :dunno:

I checked the film refrigerators in Ruby and found stocks of Kodak bulk rolls there, some E100VS, TMAX400 etc.

Looks like Fuji film is in hot demand. Any particular reason why? And where could I get a roll of RDPIII?

Perhaps you could do a search on this forum, i remember seeing afew members offering to sell bulk rolls of velvia.

Looking only at slides....

Fuji is only able to produce a fixed number per batch and they have fixed supplies to serveral other large photographers/studios/corporate clients. Ruby will only generally get the remains if there are any.

Kodak probabaly manutfatures and supplies on similar grounds, but due perhaps higher pricing, the demand may be alittle less.

I am speaking only based on some general information so please do not quote, thank you.

Just my 2cts worth.
