I remember taking a photo at about the same spot.
Your photos brought back many fond memories.
Thanks and looking forward to see more of your photos.

hi jingle,

how do you do this treatment? i like this kind of tone (not sure if this is the correct word, i am a engineer... knows nuts about art)...

:)

Hi, don't worry about it.. there are many ways people interpret "vintage", "nostalgic", "moody", most importantly is creating what you want to communicate. Some people work with black and white, some sepia, monotone, or dual tones. I play with dual tones (go to photoshop, under curves).

There are infinite ways to create something new, you can experiment more to achieve something you are happy with. :)

Very nice PP to suit the mood and weather.

Hi,
I am glad that it brought back happy memories.
I am trying to create images that will exude a certain emotion, or at least, allow people to have some internal reflection within themselves about it.

Please check out my travel blog, maybe you have been to some places like London or Switzerland like me?

Hi tks alot...

pls post more... :)

Hehe, this treatment reminds me of photos I pull out from my dad's archives when he went sailing 30 years ago.

Yes, you are right. I was in Europe in Dec 2009. I loved London in fact. I did post up some pics of London in my blog, but I did a moody interpretation of London... London was refined and classic, despite the monuments around. Paris was like... the people did not bother to clean up the streets. Alot of couples in my tour complained about the hotels we stayed in. Really scary. Hotel 81 sounds safer.

ah, i was in paris around the same time too with riotvan. :)

as for london versus paris, both have their own charms. after staying in london for close to 3 years, it's not that it isn't a nice place, it's just that it can be constrictive when it comes to shooting the things i like to shoot. i guess if i stayed in paris for a longer period of time the same might apply.

you didn't get to go up tour montparnasse? that has to be the most romantic place in paris, i think.

interesting processing... :)

hope to see more...

Anywhere with the one you love is Romantic.....:bsmilie:

:lovegrin::heart::lovegrin::heart:

But i like London More... Paris feels like one of those FF7 sectors.. Slumps and all...

Like your color treatment of your pics.

Perhaps you wanna explore adding a little diffusion to enhance that dreamy aspect of romanticism. Just a suggestion...
