Freelance photographer needed for immediately and future assignment on weekday

Hi, I have post here before and got a lot of contact that can only shoot on weekend or holiday, now I am looking for one photographer that can shoot on weekday when needed. You have to be able to take leave or whatever.

I have an immediate assignment on 19th Jan 2007 (Fri), I already have a photographer and I will need one more. But as this package was sold as trainee photographer, money is really not a lot, and each photographer will be given transport allowance of S$25.

Once you have enough portfolio like 3 weddings, you will be promoted to start taking paid assignment. And with your skill advance, so will your charges and the money you earn.

As I am providing this platform for newbie photographer who is interested to venture into photography pay job, I do not expect you to be very experiences, if that's the case you should not come to me as I do not pay a lot for jobs neither do I charge a lot to my customers. So do not flame me for providing budget service, what customer pay is what they will get, they cannot expect to pay so litto and expect a lot. No such thing.

For your information, our web site is @ http://www.budgetshots.com, if you think you can do better than us, take better photos than us, charge higher, don't undercut us. And in the future if we can do better, we will indeed charge our customer higher too, in this way, we will have a more health industry rather than telling your customer that I can do better than him and I am cheaper. Get what I mean? I want to build up this website and brand so that customer will know what to expect if they are only paying this kind of amount as a base line in hiring the photographer.

By all mean increase your price, if you think you are better, keep on increasing, together we will create a better photography industry.

To me I think photography is an art, not anyone who can just pick up a camera and call themselves photographer, especially in wedding line.

I hate to hear photographer who undercut each other just for the sake of getting deals, no benefit to the industry at all.

That's the reason why I want to spot out talented ones and push them to higher level, give a category to their level based on me and my customer's view. Give them a guideline on how much they should charge based on their skill and standard.

After going so many rounds of selection of photographers, it's sad many people want to start charging when they don't even have any good portfolio, and not willing to take up free assignment or tag along, all they care is about money, that's exactly what I mean by no passion in photography. Talent is another thing, you cannot just pick up and learn from, no means no, simple. Some photographers can be shooting for 20 years and have no improvement in their skill, and charging the same price ever since he started. Sad! isn't it? This is people without talent.

not to worry, i have absolutely nothing against you, i hope this will be a healthy discussion.

whatever your business model is, and however your views on how that model will help the individual, the couple, or the industry, is fine by me. i just hope that something real and worth standing up for is what pushes you to continue in the direction you are heading.

for me, that real thing, is humanity. wedding (and people) photography is about humanity. honestly, sometimes there is no price to pay for something that is so fleeting and hard to understand.

Whenever there is mentioning about "take up free assignment", a number of individual will be against it. Those newbies who saw those feedbacks and start charging, they may be classified as 'all they care is about money'. I believe many are willing to do it for free and many are charging customers without any good portfolio. Maybe we should let the individual decide for themselves.

nagai, I like your idea on providing budget service. Just take note that the word "free" for assignment is quite sensitive in CS.

You are absolutely right. But there are still many who come to me and didn't even bother to read my post, I have already stated that this assignment is for Trainee Photographer and will only pay for transport allowance.

And I didn't say its free though haha, did I?
