Wow, I am keen too if FOC.

Making use of ppl big day for training purpose right ? HELLO...wedding ok, no second chance. If fXXked up how ? If you want to learn, look for lao jiao and attach them during their assignment.

we are discouraging free loaders come to Clubsnap to explore our photographers/videograpers/models by asking them to provide services for free and cheap, and yet some members still don't understand we are try to protect our photographers/videograpers/models and the industry.

I'm not sure what is your intention for offering your videography service for free and what you want to achieve.

Tho we do not set a rule for not allowing members for offering services for free, but please do consider there are many other members are making a living on these and also many members are just start out, we hope everyone can compete on a fairer ground.

btw, service wanted is for members seeking services provided by others members, couples holding their weddings are not consider providing services to anybody, not even to their parents.
Thread moved.

We have done countless of wedding videography and photography and thus have the experience but have not had the chance to do it in a church setting.

So, we would really like to add a church setting to our portfolio so if any is interested, kindly email betty@inmotionsg.com.

Thank you for reading.

Woah! Countless, 100 is a number that can be count, 1000 is a number that also can be count. Countless must be those in the tens and hundreds of thousands that you lost track in your years of extensive experience?

After countless wedding videography and photography I am sure you can find a better and more feasible way, not just getting a church wedding but also a decent paid one too.

Good luck in your experiment. ;)

Why are you so concerned with the semantics here?

If can't swim, just stay on the beach.

If cannot get real clients, just shoot free!

Shakes head. Even when free a wedding is not without responsbility. You cannot produce subpar work and disclaim you did it for free so its ok. It is totally irresponsible and cast a bad name for the whole industry.

When you are not good enough to charge money and do it free or for dirt cheap the bar is lowered, bad wedding photography/videography becomes common and general perception towards the wedding pros gets lowered.

And people get wedded for themselves, not a service to you, your posting at Services Wanted forum is an insult to couples, good that Catchlights moved your thread.

An insult?

So negative..

We have done more than a few wedding projects for Malay and Indian couples for the past year.

We would like to try to do Chinese and church weddings too but we have not extensively marketed our services.

Hence we would like to offer our service (and just one time too) for any couple who would be interested.

It's sad to think if we do not do a good job because it's free.

If anybody is interested, you may contact Ms Betty Shao at betty@inmotionsg.com.

Thanks!

;)

We would do this video project just like it's a paid project obviously, because it adds to our experience and who would want to compromise on what would be their experience?

It's not a matter of 'experimenting', we know we can do it, and we offer it to anyone who is interested.

We get the experience, the couple get their wedding covered nicely.

Simple.

:)

too bad i came in here late:

just one thing

i'm no videographer, but from watching all my friends' wedding videos in the past 2 years have shown me what good and bad wedding videos are. Actual Day, Wedding Dinner etc you name it, i've watched it.

oh yeah. not forgetting terrible wedding videos.

and yup, i clicked on your link and watched the videos there, as well as looked through the photo slideshow.

for someone/some company who has claimed to have countless videography and photography gigs under their belt, i find the photos and videos bordering on terrible.

poor scripting and arrangement, and wrong choice of music even.

pardon me for being blunt, but this just isn't the works that are born from "countless experiences".

Well, congratulations because you are the first ever person who finds our work 'terrible'.

All of our clients have been really satisfied and we are getting more and more business, but thanks for your time!

;)

ps Scripting? Need scripting for wedding event MTVs? Tell us more about it. Oh wait, you are not a videographer.

And wrong choice of music?

Well, some of the music are requested by the couple, some don't want sappy, overused love songs, etc.

Oh wait.

You are not a videographer.

:bsmilie:

sure. the rest had their veiled attacks on you.

i gave you an honest opinion about the way you're showcasing your business/skills.

let me give you a tip: under promise, over deliver. don't hard sell yourself as a terrific videographer/photographer. because when others (not the wedding couple) see the images and video, it might not be up to their expectations of what you can deliver. hence, you can tell from the sarcastic tones above.

in business, accept every criticism with happiness, but weed out those which don't help you. because it's your attitude will secure you customers. you never know who is reading this, and you definitely don't know who i am behind this forum ID. for all you know, i could be someone you don't want to really get off on the wrong foot with.

not saying that i'm a powerful person, but you might actually offend someone who isn't me.

this is business. it's up to you to run it your way, either into the ground, or raise it up on a pedestal ;)

+1, agree. Especially on "you never know who is reading this". Nonetheless, in this competitive field there are people who can help and people who keep "attacking" you. Your choice.
