I just attend the lesson this afternoon............its really a good lesson for newbies to go to.....know all about video formats, editing software, etc. He really impart his knowledge with no holds barred.....
A pity only two people including me turned up for this talk!!!! Most of those who didn't turn up didn't even bother to inform him...why is that so?? Cecil actually sacrificed his free time to conduct the course so I think it is basic courtesy to tell him if you are not free and can't make it....
Thanks Cecil for your precious time and effort, maybe we can work together sometime!

I was there for the lesson this afternoon too and a learnt a lot from Cecil. He's really so willing to share his experience and knowledge with us, not just in video formats and editing, but also other aspects of videography and the business.
I think it's really a pity for those who didn't turn up for the lesson (only 2 of us turned up today as ahchee had mentioned), they should have at least let others who are seriously interested in the talk to have a chance to learn. I think it's really unfair to those who are seriously interested and to Cecil who have specially set aside time to impart his knowledge.

The first session there we suppose to be 6 and 2 turned up, the second session I reminded the attendees and they confirm their attendance but did not turn up. Statistically speaking 4 out of 6 not attending twice points towards frivolessness and taking free courses for granted and we're wandering why nobody is helping. This is what comes from helping.
Anyway, in life there must be belief and faith in that there are good people around and that there are people who will benefit from this so, I'll soldier on, and try to help and hope that I get the right kind of people.

thanks for the support guys I intend to hold the next one sometime in January and there will be one or two cases where people may not be free last minute due to work commitment and as long as they pm me before that its fine.

This actually started many years ago when I was salesman and dealer for various video editing products like Snazzi, Dazzle, Matrox, etc and found that many people buy the wrong video capture cards through misinformation whether intentionally or unintentionally and make a decision to educate as many people as possible to know sufficient to make their own decision rather than ask and trust the saleman.
