If you add a raynox converter or an extension lens, your kit lens can take macro shots too.

Hey i'm newbie too......haven't even try to take nite shots yet. I'm more interested in Landscape/wide angles. Been chasing sunrise/sunset so far....but will love to learn more fro all the experts here. Will b keen to join the meet-up. Cya all soon.

If you don't have a macro lens you can consider getting a converter to try out (raynox/extension tubes/close up filter) you'll probably also need a flash unit if you're doing night macro.
