Four Third System "common home" stinks

then what about Nikon and Fuji? both uses the same system...
pentax and samsung as well...
Don't tell that to them, some of them my get angry. I would not call them "the same system". A system for me is much more than a sensor format or a lens fitting. A system is a whole concept. I would not say Nikon D200 is equal to any Fuji. They may use some similar or same parts but they are hardly the same system. Many car manufacturers use common parts, Volvo, Opel and Ford have one owner for example but I would not call them the same even if they use common parts or some part of the production line is the same.

By the way, regardless of which, there is still a Nikon and a Fuji on CS and if that will be joined together, what would CS call it? My guess is "Common home for Nikon and Fuji dSLR" or something similar. That is exactly what I am saying. What I don't like is the anonimity. Nikonians would never accept that and I think CS would respect their views and would not dare to anonimize Nikon, Canon or any other strong brand.

I would however more liked if the shoulder strap was just black, not having any name on it. That is just me.

One of the first things I did was replace my strap with a more comfortable Roots brand strap...it's one that has little pillows to soften the weight of the camera:

Only thing is it's difficult to find outside of Canada.

Thanks Mike. My experience with padded straps is that they slide off my shoulder too easily. Even my Loewepro bag that has really nice padded strap with some anti-slite stuff slides off. So I wear it crossed over my body on the opposite shoulder most of the time. I have always carried my camera on my neck not on my shoulders, which is not "cool" but comfortable. I guess in that case it would do good. However, I do not find my E-500 heavy enough to invest in a new strap. Compared to my thin Oly original strap I had on my OM2n with winder, flash and Grip2 plus some times a heavy metal lens like 70-210mm zoom... Oh man, what things got lighter for me during the past few months. ;)

Good proposal though, so I'll keep that in mind. :)

thats what im hinting too... if all where to join up, then there will be a few more section in this forum... since nikon and fuji uses the same mount, same sensor size, same flash, same lens, same accessories. they are more or less the same system with another brand name like oly and pana...

I don't think there is much more to say, so I close this thread.

Thanks for all the comments.
