When i play this Istanbul track on PSP, it seems easy... this is a higher speed track... I think brawn might dominate again... Ferrari maybe 2nd fastest.

Williams' FOTA membership suspended!

“FOTA’s decision, although regrettable, is understandable," stated Team Principal Frank Williams. "However, as a racing team and a company whose only business is Formula One, with obligations to our partners and our employees, submitting our entry to next year’s championship was unquestionable."

"In addition, we are legally obliged under our contract with FOM (Formula One Management) and the FIA to participate in the world championship until the end of 2012.”
I think Frank Williams made a mistake to agree with FOTA as according to him he is bound by the Terms and Conditions to continue with F1. He made a bad move. Deserves to be slammed.

All uppercase letters doesn't work in this forum strangely. You'll need to add in at least 1 lowercase letter in your post for the rest of the uppercase letters to show.

must be raptor complain we too loud and bold, so now can only loud and bold up to point 6 :bsmilie:

FORZA FERRARI!!!

Every year, I always change the team and driver to support.

This year, it shall be........Fernando Alonso! :)

Cause he can drive a crappy car and still get points.

With Kimi coming in third, Ferrari team morale just got an great boost and if they maintain the status quo, i won't be surprised. I think Ferrari is starting to get into the heat of the action. Treat this as a hard lesson to learn from. I hope that they'll get a good standing in Turkey. But the Brawn team is seriously hard to beat. Only way that Ferrari can get to 1-2 is if Rubens Barrichello starts fumming again big time that his team is favoring Button instead of him. :)

F1 would be a lot more interesting if they have the cars start in reverse order to that in which they finished in the previous race.

Good news.... Ferrari, and the other teams are signing up for 2010 F1 season, except for Toyota.

Also Lola, Aston Martin, USF1 and Campos are reported signing up too. Good to see if Aston Martin is worth their hype.

Should be an interesting 2010 season. Good that Ferrari stayed in. Better still that Brawn is winning!!!!

hmmm... then nobody would want to finish on top in the race before Monaco :bsmilie:

Toyota is not joining right? They are going to release their Lexus LF-A supercar to commemorate their involvement in F1, at the end of this year... Tout as the fastest & most expensive car to come out of japan. Limited Edition of just 500 cars are going to be built. carbon fibre chassis & body, 4.8i V10 variable valve timing 550+bhp, top 355km/h, 0-100km/h in 3.0+sec. It will go no other japanese cars has gone to before, rivalling the fastest from Lamborghini, Ferrari & even the Pagani Zonda. It is rumoured to cost 100K pounds to 190K pounds in the UK, supercar territory. Anyone going to fork out such money for a japanese car is anyone's guess.

355km/h... almost as fast as a F1 car

btw, is the Bugatti Veyron currently holding the title to the world fastest road car?

carbon fibre chassis and body? will it spray out sharp pieces of carbon fibre on impact like it does in F1? ;p

Hmmm it is confusing as yesterday's news stated that the FOTA teams as a group signed up for 2010 F1. Toyota is one of those teams. Anyway hope to see Toyota remain in F1 despite their poor showing so far given their large budget.

It would be good if at least one Japanese car maker can have a supercar. The Lexus LF-A would be great.

No la. They lost that title 2 years back. The current fastest production car is SSC Ultimate Aero TT.

Nissan has the GTR right? Its a supercar designed to take on the Porche 911 turbo.

SG has quite a lot of GTR owners. Quite a car. Sure looks cool, esp the matt black and white cars.

Lexus LF-A is suppose to debut last year as a limited edition... but bosses up there is not happy that the car only manage to achieve 321km/h top speed. It wants the title of the fastest production japanese car ever... they scared a Nissan GT-R V-Spec would be able to touch them mah... so they went into more development & fine tune the aerodynamics until the car can achieve 355km/h top speed.

Engine wise, 4.8i V10 variable valve timing of 550+bhp is stronger than both the V10 engine from BMW & Lamborghini. Quite an achievement from Toyota already...

When they want to do something in the production car market, i'm sure they will want it to be the best, that's why this is badged as Lexus, not some Toyota Supra replacement model. So it is marketed as higher class than Honda NSX & Nissan GT-R. A class that a japanese sports car hasn't before.

Ya GTR is cheap and good but I am not sure it belongs to supercar category. When u look at it ...doesn't give u the feel that it is supercar. Different when u look at Porsche or Ferrari... look good, drive good, just there. Think the LF-A may have that. Saw some nice photos on Top Speed site.

So its branding afterall u guys are talking about. Performance wise, its right up there with the Porches, Ferraris and Lambos. Can compete with them in a race circuit. A Corvette is also similar to the GTR; budget supercar in the US.

The Lexus LF-A aims to be above the Nissan GT-R class... it doesn't competes with Porsche 911 Turbo, Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo.Tat is the class the Nissan GT-R is at. The Lexus LF-A is competing with McLaren SLR, Ferrari Enzo, Lamborghini Reventon, Porsche Carrera GT, Pagani Zonda.
