I sense the loneliness in all your photos. The small subject against a vast background (or foreground) enhances that feeling of loneliness.

People usually shun vagabonds, handicapped, cleaners, and wierd guys crouching in the corner reading newspapers...

You also used some slow shutter speed to portray people walking past the handicapped and vagabonds without giving assistance...

I like your series for the emotions that they evoked...

thank you ;)
is there anything i can improve on?

wow sathea, what cam are u using?
VERY nice shots!

mostly taken with a consumer digital camera.
a few with a compact film camera and f80.
what photos do you like and how can i improve?

i'll just comment on the last photo, the latest.

i don't like the tilt. the mood could have been greatly enhanced by going closer... i know you are going for mood here. it's good that you are looking at a photograph as a photograph and looking beyond sharpness and focus. sadly for this i can't really feel the mood of the woman, there is a lack of impact. but i'd love to see you re-do this shot.

oh. i can't help but say, 2nd last one is good though, perhaps burn out the edges a bit to concentrate the "glow" on the instrument player.

i don't take it's possible to redo this shot. a photo is an image is captured at that particular moment. i can't possibly go back in time and take the shot again.

can't you take it out of context a little ?

go back, seek a similar subject, or if you chance upon a similar subject, re-do it... re-take it... whatever...

see if i have the chance...
