The battery life is just  . Just shoot and shoot and shoot...

lilz u still thinking about this?
I give up liao, took the d100 for a spin with a 24-50 and a 105M - night shoot about 3 hours at ISO1600 haha

quality => ISO400+ on digicam. and 6mp scaled down is another 2 stops gained
weight => if u love bricks with d***s LOL
AF => it's not mana from heaven
colour => needs gray card if u're hard core, else AWB sometimes misses the boat, and I was lazy to play too long with the WM brackets
storage => not that fast with a 1GB IBM... esp startup time

think main advantage is DOF gain and ISO1600..
think I'll wait for the Dynax 5 body to come out... LOL

minolta was the first brand on my mind when I started, the dynax 5/7, fascinated by wireless flash...
but 2nd hand mkt the Canons were more "available", so I bought that... then sold off...
now play with my colleague's d100 so no real lust for my own (LOL)

anyway I bought me the super small dimage xt, which I had *finally* adapted myself to use... fulfilled my original objective of a documentation device.
as for creative photography I waiting for:
- my fren to bring back the Chinese manual SLR
- smaller cheaper DSLR bodies, actually for that all I want is a TTL VF and a CCD, AF and whatever can be overcome (somewhat)

no lah not lazy - just tat u & i think we r better off spending our time on other stuff mah.... :p

how r the nite shots?

hard to find the coloured bodies, unless u buy at MSRP ie best denki... I wanted red too (ferrari red not girlish hor? hor? haha)
here's a link to the full sized unretouched pic.

ISO 50
bright daylight
got detail (branches)
got tones (clouds)
using "normal" compression (689kb, got FINE but that one overkill)

haven't really shot any shiny stuff yet to test highlights... but not as bad as the nikons

*flash a bit weak BUT I realised got exposure control WHICH is also flash compensation waha... can get about 1.5x stop more flash power.
**got dive case, which I'm buying :) :)
***goooood battery life, if u willing to shoot using the viewfinder it can last for days and days.
