Thanks for all the replies.... my life gets harder now!

Agreed that my 350D is good... in fact I love it! With my 2 lenses (17-85IS & 70-300IS), it is the ultimate combination(for my usage anyway)!

But then once in awhile in your life, you need to fiddle with something to get your mind off from other things....

Anyway all your replies are good stuff.

Rgds

Just to make your life even more harder than before .... don't forget the size and weight advantage of the 350D for travelling purposes. ;)

Cheers!

CSlye is right but this is what i feel. When i was contemplating whether to upgrade my 350D to 30D,i also thought of the same question but in the end i told myself,if i want a small and light camera for travelling purposes then maybe i would just get a good compact camera instead of bringing a DSLR.So in the end i went for the upgrade ;p 30D is still not too heavy for me,even together with my lenses. So it's really up to you to decide whether does the 30D really affect you.But ultimately,it's still the $$$ :bsmilie:

I always use my 350D with the grip. I persume the weight w/ the grip is about the same as the 30D w/o the grip? After using DSLR, there is no way I am going back to compact camera unless no choice. Especially with kids, I need fast focusing and fps too.

Wah SimonKing, you no good lar - go one round and then shoot me from behind :bsmilie: kekeke....Just my thoughts,if do go to places with great sceneries, it is propably better to bring along a compact dslr and a compact as a spare. Cheers!

Haha,no lah! No offence really :bsmilie: Maybe because im a kinda big size guy so that's why i don't feel right holding the 350D.No doubt that it's really a good camera for travelling purposes, image quality wise is NO difference from the 30D at all.IMO,i like the feel and the weight of the 30D.I always bring along a compact camera along as a spare during my travels.;)
