actually ACR 5.6 is already out. one of the first versions with official a850 support. DxO is only as & when required when shooting condition is harsh & you want to recover highlights (i.e. beach shoot)

Lightroom 2.6 and ACR 5.6 have made significant improvements in handling Sony RAW files. I know LR 3 beta is out and it's supposed to be even better. I'm using the LR 2.6 with CS4 and really like the changes,

I use ACR or APerture. Both works fine except that i do not like the fact tt i have to import my pictures into Aperure's own folder.

I use ACR and Lightroom 2.6. Prefer ACR's interface over Lightroom's but like Lightroom's presets.

Very unique so far don't see any guys here using photoshop DNG converting ???;)

I convert mine to DNG, and open those in ACR in adobe bridge cs3. I am not too concerned about pixel quality as much as I wanted a fast work flow, which I feel, is more efficient to do.
