I viewed through a 5D mk II and D700 before. Full frame look like a 50 inches plasma and crop sensor look like 24 inches LCD monitor. The view finder is one of the main reason why people up grade to full frame.

ok, that's another reason to go FF. haha!

hey guys i've noticed i've got another issue on the viewfinder. i noticed that when my top center most AF point lights up there would be an additional spot of red light on top of it. checked all my other AF points when lighted up dun give me such an issue. is it normal? i'm considering taking leave on monday if it's not normal and head down to CSC to rectify it.

Hi, you are looking through your camera's viewfinder but instead of seeing what is good composition of a photo, you are seeing all the stuff inside of the viewfinder. ;p

I would suggest you look further out and start looking at how to best compose a frame to make the photo looks great.

Cheers and Happy New Year. :D

lol yeah man...i'm very particular about serviceability of an equipment. anyway happy new year to you too and everyone else here! =D

I'm quite sure everybody is concern about serviceability but somehow, it became an obsession to many. A few dust specks is not going to render your camera useless. If anything, I believe you've done more damage to the camera yourself than the dust.

i can't help but agree with you. had i not been itchy fingered and went to take out the focusing screen none of this would have happened. i wasn't so paranoid about the viewfinder til after that incident. haha!

Hi, I suppose you mean me, HAHA. I am on a 50D. Can I OT? I notice you are selling your 50D for a 7D. Think twice. :D I used one before, other then sport which 7D is way useful then 50D, I am actually happier using the money for a 135L. For my 2 cent of thought.

yeah bro, i was about to let go my 50D today. but backed out after thinking even further. the functions 7D has isn't wad i need. what i need is FF, so ultimately going to 7D isn't gonna benefit me much. so decided against selling my 50D. anyway u were saying ur 50D also has that "af point light issue" as i described?

Similar, but the Auto fucus point did not bring me any problem and the result is not affected hence I deem it as a design flaws. Not a problem for me.

i'll just go down to csc and have them look at it. initially i didnt bother about it, cuz right from the start it has been like that only. but now, i think i shall go have it checked since its still under warranty. lol...anyway how come ya using the bg-e5n? i thought it's e2n?

does anyone know where can I buy the prism focusing screen and get it installed?

what camera model do you have?
