D800 has split focussing screen?

I believe is replacement of same plain screen, since this thread title did not specify is looking for spit image focusing screen.

and crazypaladin don't know about the different and what we looking for.

You are right. It's the replacement of the original focussing screen.

the spit image focusing screen will help photographers to focus with manual focusing lenses better.

from what I know, the focusing screen of D800/D800E are 100% view. the rest of FX bodies are not 100% view, so focusing screen for such bodies are easy available.

the only person can do it already passed on, the Taiwanese (focusingscreen.com) tried but not able to do it.

You can try your luck buy the so call D800 focusing screen from ebay and let us know the outcome.

Hi Catchlights, no need ebay, OP got sell ...i did not buy as i feel i only want to do it once...since i am also not so skillful in changing..so i wanted to make sure i buy a good quality one...yeah...the only person who passed on was a pity....

Focusingscreen.com has released the D800 screens since June 2013. Did anyone try it yet? any feedback? Is it accurate in terms of WYSIWYG? colour tone, contrast, exposure etc?
