It may depend on how the image is exposed. I've printed ISO1600 film before and they can be pretty good when well exposed.

As for ISO1600 on the D70 that Adzz is using, I can vouch that they are well capable of good 4R prints that are sale-worthy.

printed ISO 1600 film before. very good.

printed using 300D's ISO 1600 taken in VCH.. histogram looks ok. the noise sucks. too much for my liking.

but then this is a Nikon sub-forum  had no experience with Nikon DSLR cameras at all.

Sorry for being hash, you gave me the notion of outdoor night photography when you said about flashbanging people. We were on the wrong frequency. For that, I apologise.

Cheers!

accepted...

anyway, there are personal preference to techniques too. there are no "correct" techniques.

Wow... lots of debate on techniques. Anyway, I really appreciate the advice you guys gave me. I find some of them a bit hard to digest, since I am pretty new to this. Probably will try some, but I was thinking of sticking to P mode, easier to shoot.

For using flash at night, I was thinking of getting a omnibounce for the sb24. is it useful? roughly how much will a omnibounce cost?

there was a thread either at the "newbies" or "equiptment review" section..they talk about omnibounce. u can get a general consensus there....price for it is about 20 bucks+-

omnibounce is used for indoor enclosed areas like a small room. i dont see the use of omnibounce in other areas
