Below are 2 flower shots taken by Pro 90 IS with tripod.

Flower 2 has more bokeh (background blur) effect than 1 due to apeture size is bigger ( f2.8 ) ....

From what I understand, the effect of a wider aperture is not so pronounce on a DC compared to a film SLR. This may be due to the shorter actual focal length... (You can't build a 35-250mm lens but you can on a DC due to the shorter focal length)
