dim lights with long runtime are insurance against blackouts, used as dimmer to cut down on electricity if dun need a full blast of light at nite. bright lights with a small hotspots are for spotting cockroaches, showing off, go back army camp use. :sweatsm:

out of home:
any light on me is for just in case *poof*, i trust my lights not to *poof*. :embrass:

Because some of us go to parts of the world where there are no street lights and no GSM coverage ;)

Since young I like torchlights alot.

I use a dimmer light around the house at night especially going to the bathroom, switching on the main lights may wake up my wife. brighter lights are for outdoor use like camping oversea travel etc..

for collection as well, some people like to collect stamps, watches, pens etc.. I like collecting torchlights.

I love my fenix E01, carried around with keys..and has proved useful many times...
But trying to find a good reason for me to buy a big ass torch leh, except for once a yr ICT...haiz

Maybe i shd plan a camping trip soon....heehee. Then can consider that knife purchase too..

I registered in this forum after I got my Canon 40D. Didn't know that there's a bunch of flashlight collectors here too.

My current collection is a Nuwai Q-III and a Fenix TK20 which I just bought last weekend. So far very satisfied with the fenix TK20 after testing it out at one of the illegal mountain bike trail ;p

welcome! next time you can join us for outing probably in Mar or Apr.

IMHO, not so much of a "throw" but has a nice spill....

oic, anyway 1AA moderate throw of about 15-20m is good enough. for shorter distance a wide spot will be more useful, IMO. not stated the material of the lense, polycarb or glass.... :dunno:

so many different types of lights out there :sweatsm:

take ur time, there will always be new lights coming in.oh, if u keen this weekend i am free to see lights!! ;)
