the METZ FLASH SYNC CORD can't fix into the D200...sign. what to do is this mean the flash cant be use? helppp..
only on manual or auto mode. no ttl mode as D200 uses i-ttl from nikon. your flash don't support i-ttl.

Can be used. I'm using a 45CT5 with my D200 and D70.
As have been answered, no TTL. Use in manual/auo mode.
The supplied 2 way cord of the flash unit cannot be used on the D200. You need to get the optional SCA300 sync cord and a SCA adaptor (I'm using SCA3402). The SCA adapter fits on the camera's hotshoe and the SCA300 cable onto the adapter, other end of the cable to the flash.
To shoot in flash auto mode: Set flash to desired auto mode f/stop, e.g.f/5.6, f/8 ...
Set camera to manual mode and match camera's f/stop to one set on the flash. Shutter speed can be from 1/125sec to 1/200sec. After shooting check your preview and adjust shutter speed for desired results, the D200 can sync at higher than 1/200.
If you're bouncing the top flash head, don't forget to switch the flash to fire both the upper and lower.
I think D200 can maximum sync to 1/250..anything faster, u will get the upper portion of the pic dark..
But D70 can do hi-speed sync wif shutter speed as high as 1/2000..never try any higher..
Correct me if i'm wrong..
D70/D70s able to sync above 1/500s, unofficially.Uhm. I think you got it the other way round. The D70s cannot do FP sync. The D200 can.
Native max sync speed on D70s is 1/500s. D200 is 1/250s.

if i'm not wrong is the electronic shutter for D70/s ...D70/D70s able to sync above 1/500s, unofficially.
the trick is you need to use a non ttl flash, or use nikon flash but mask out the rest of the contact point (except the main contact point right at the center) in the camera hotshoe.Do tell I tried to do it on my previous D70s but I failed

but anyway most ppl don't use above 1/250 when using flash unless in a bright daylight.
typically is around 1/30~1/125.
Ok... So that means you are basically trading off TTL and setting all flash settings manually for a higher sync speed?
auto mode still worksOk... So that means you are basically trading off TTL and setting all flash settings manually for a higher sync speed?
