anyone know what is this fish called?

it was crawling on the bottom like a flat worm, i thought WTF thats a huge flatworm! then i saw the eyes. its around 20cm long

think u're rite.. it is a sole (flatfish), family: soleidae. unsure which species tho... can go to fishbase & search under soleidae..something like this..

Saw this one at Sipadan recently.

Its called a banded sole. Found commonly throughout the tropics and tend to come out only at night.

There're actually hard to spot cause they do not actually have a profile. The one I saw at Sipandan was only 1 cm long.

1cm! that's small man.. this one is around 20cm..

think the eyes are the only give aways
