Hi guys, just bought something from b&h. first time buyer here. anyone have any idea how long it would take for order to arrive? and when would they ask for photocopy of my card?

I just bought something from amazon few days back, but no credit card validation reqd.

from BH photo at the most 5 days, usually my stuff comes fast 3 - 4 days here already.

Not everyone they ask. I didn't have to scan anything for mine. Hehe

yeah, happened for me too... not too sure but I think it depends on whether you check out as a guest or whether you have an account (can't remember which)... I have checked out both ways, and on the second time, they asked me for a scan of the card, I pointed out a previous transaction that cleared and delivered, and they waived me through... might also be due to amount transacted or something, or a temporary glitch...

Hmmm. were you first time buyer when they didn't ask? Because i have received a confirmation email like right after my purchase. UOB also sms to confirm that the amount was charged to my account already

Sometimes have sometimes don't have. My first time I never got the request, ordered alot of times since then everything goes through smoothly, packages come fast.

If more than sgd400, the merchant will add the 7% gst amt to ur order value (called customs tax deposit or something like that)...so u end up paying the actual purchase price plus 7% gst to the merchant.

Besides GST, there may be an additional service charge. My recent purchase from B&H shpped via UPS had a $10 disbursement fee. I think it's ok as they paid for the GST on behalf, and brought the item to my doorstep. They passed the item over when I pay them (in cash or cheque).
