Just trying my luck :) Most of the higher end ballheads come with 2 levers, 1 for tensioning and the other for loosening.. I think at $110, this tripod is a steal already ;)

the knob u see there is the only one :) - it adjusts tension for the ballhead. i havent really seen any (honestly), with 2 tension levers/knobs for the ballhead. so i actually don't really know what you're talking about. My apologies

for the center column, there are 2 seperate tension adjustment parts to it.

Does the lever close fully with the QR plate attached? Mine does not seem to be fully closed and need a bit of force to release the lever. There are abrasion marks on my QR plate and lever after opening and closing a few times. Is this normal?

Hi Lizzy, this is normal :) Abrasion marks will show because the plate is coated with black paint, not bare metal. Bare metal will also show abrasion marks, but not as prominently.

Hi ParkertR, is the gold locking pin for the lever suppose to lock the lever in place to prevent accidental release of the lever? Mine can't go into locking position cos the lever cannot close fully with a QR plate attached. The lever is blocking the pin from protruding up. The pin can lock the lever without problem without the QR plate.

Hi Lizzy, you'll need to push the lever in tight, dont worry about the abrasion because it's perfectly normal. Even with big brand names, the plate is secure because of how tight it is. A plate has to be tight or else your camera will shake.

After securing the plate by pushing the lever in, you can lock the pin.

Hi ParkertR, thanks for the clarification! With that doubt cleared, I can say the tripod is superb with the latest mod to the design!

HI Lizzy, we're very glad here at PPCP that you are satisfied and very happy with our products! Please do inform your friends about it :) cheers!

Thanks for the superb review.

May I ask what is the total weight of the tripod?

Weight is 1.3KG with the head.

hi.. it's stated as 1.3kg at PPCP's website :)

Is the 52cm closed length inclusive or exclusive of the included head? Ditto for the other measurements. Thanks. :D
