Probably, since it's from the same server haha, just finished updating mine XD

If they do, do you think it is fair to E-P2 buyer? :bsmilie:

I don't think it is unfair to E-P2 users. They should give it to E-P1 users, it's just a software upgrade (?). It would be easier for Olympus to manage too next time there are upgrades, just 1 for both.

Sometimes, you wonder whether E-P1 is run by one division, and E-P2 by another :dunno:

As for AF improvements, that is good news. They probably will give it as well to E-P2 users later, and although I don't AF anymore except on the 7-14mm, it will be helpful for many other users.

.

no firmware update for e620.. *sigh*

No worries,no firmware update probably means no problem needs to be fixed? Anyway,I have yet had a chance to run my E-P1 with its new firmware, now in my bag....in school....rotting away....now oting away... back to topic, probably Olympus is still doing the new firmware for E-P2 with faster focus as well as other fixes:D

juz updated mine...ya, AF visibly improved on good light. The feel is like.....b4 update 1.7 sec, updated more like 1 sec!

Low contrast indoor objects.....hmmm still the same.....hunting..

Considering that it's a CONTRAST detecting system, is that a surprise?

Apparently this is not what olympus think. They still want to differentiate EP1 & 2 :bsmilie:

Updated my EP-1 firmware too yesterday evening, similar with other, the update is mostly running pretty smooth as long as you've a good Inet connection.

In good light, the AF speed is so much better, but in low light, nothing much different and back to MF. the new art filter... ha ha ha.. we can only pray :bsmilie:

I don't have a chance to perform the upgrade yet, but can someone with the E-P1 and the FL-14 do a test if the flash still overexposes after the upgrade?

Thanks!

Yes it does, unfortunately. :(

I can't believe that to this day and after 2 firmware updates that they can't get the FL-14 to behave as it should! How hard is it to get a flash that is meant to work with a specific model to work after 2 updates? Maybe it's because there is something inherently wrong with the hardware of the flash that they don't want to admit.

Well... the Panasonic flash over-exposes with the GF1 also... so it's not unique to Olympus's m43 system. :dunno:

Also,I believe Uncle Tomcat, you've tried the FL14 with E-P2 and it doesn't over expose right?IIRC,that was the result. So I guess it might be hardware or it has yet to be brought up to their concern or some other reason, maybe it's to get more people to buy E-P2, I have no idea, these are just my guesses

Arghhh even after updating Olympus Master 2 to the latest version, I still keep getting the error message: "Failed to communicate with the server. (20)"

Thats weird

Thanks for the stopwatch link.

Upgraded body from 1.1 to 1.2 - S-AF center point single 10% faster. Average of 1 sec to about 0.9 seconds

Upgraded lens from 1.0 to 1.1 - No difference in AF speed.
