Fireworks tomorrow

Hahah I also don't know, don't think it is possible? Or is it possible, correct me if I am wrong :)

Anything is possible with Photoshop...

(PS. I am still learning. But I believe it is something to do with layering).

That's what I am thinking as well. But it seems too complicated for me, need someone who is good at Photoshop to teach me that :D

Read some books... and do a search in the internet... lots and lots of tips there. I believe many of the CSers are doing that too... I will start learning how to PP soon. At present moment, I did bare minimal PP... too lazy.

Hi Bro,

Your PP on is very nice le :)

if pp is post processing, then i only did default settings of DXO raw converter. it recovers little bit of shadows. and amazing at removing noise and lens distortions
. no manual step, all auto

I'm hoping to go shoot with you lei brother... long time no see liao zzz

Then tmr i join u for Arab street outing..Sms or call me tmr..btw u driving tmr or wat..

Jus my 2 cent. to remove smoke is kinda hard. have been trying but damn difficult as the smoke overlay the fireworks, maybe i jus too lazy.. lol.
so the 1st few shot very important cos not so smokey.
As for some problem tt u face.

1) firework kena crop: now tt you knw e location is too near next time jus shift further away. (July is a whole month of firework due to NDP rehearsal. And will stay there till the new stadium is finally built so jus move around the area every week) If stand too far no worries. use photoshop to crop lor.. hehe

2) if background is under-expose you have 2 way to go around it
i) fixed the position you want then stay there don move, then take a shot of the background which is well exposed then overlay it with your firework shot.

ii) use a black card (it acts as your shutter) Turn to buld mode. so in between fireworks open the card to let the light of the background to enter so the background are better exposed. Bad point bout using black card is if you don take note of the amount of fire work being shot, you might over crowd the picture with fireworks.

cheers

Hi Guys,
just re-posting same images that were in my flickr link earlier to display images with the thread for better viewing :), sorry for the duplicate entry.
