is it because the quality of the fireworks are lower which produces more smoke? haha :bsmilie:

I find today display by our own Singapore team is quite a disappointment. Most fireworks are quite similar and it was very smoky. Big let down compared to team italy.....

Home ground somemore....

Ahh ... expected liao lorr ....
Not say "the moon is brighter on the other side", but really lah ... Singapore team's display is really not nice. Maybe low budget? :dunno:

I didn't take much shots lorr ... :(

So disappointed today.
So many ppl... and so many smoke! And smoke are blowing from BSB towards esplanade...
So ppl in BSB wins! =)

The turnout today is certainly MUCH MUCH more than the first day.
This i what I observed after 3 yrs. NEVER GO ON THE SECOND DISPLAY.
Reason: Most of Singaporean will miss the first show. After hearing and seeing the advertisement of fireworks festival, they will all SWARM to the second show. After the second show, some will regret that its way too crowded, and some will be satisfied will watching one show hence, wouldnt return for the third, and of cos some (photo enthu) like us will return for the third. As a result, the second show is always crowded! =P

Also, for Team Singapore, its always so so RED!!!, not so much of other colours... patterns are also similar. Quite disappointed today....

Prone... hmm... marksman! Hard to believe you hands are so still for 30 secs! I salute!

All shots at 1/2 sec exposure shutter prio. at 24mm, iso 800 - HANDHELD ... Held my breath for more than a minute for each shot ...hehe

Happy Birthday Singapore!

I have a 37 second shot, but that looked really.... plain. With one of the monsterously large Red Fireball right at the top, but the middle horizontal portion of the image totally blank (almost).

Actually in 100% view, you'll be able to see some shaking, but they're relatively small considering the prone method of shooting. Wished I brought my lens hood along, as well as more small towels to help me dampen the camera.

Could be much better - and I blew off the finale section - WAY overexposed. :(

How did u do it!!!???

but why dun u bring tripod?
or are u practicing prone shooting? :)

No $ for tripod, and honestly the idea of lugging one along is not something I really like. :(

I think maybe Singapore Fireworkers got no chance for training and testing? S'pore only can shoot fireworks not more then 5 times per year leh. :bsmilie:
