I also realized that by setting to 3,700 Kelvin also produced pretty good results too. Anyway, this are just subjected to personal preferences only. Happy shooting to all.:)
How do the pics look like when set to 3.7k Kelvins?

Crazy la....wait 4 hours for a 15 min fireworks...worth it or not. Anyway the location at esplanade bridge is not good for fireworks photography, only good for viewing. The background is too plain and dark and boring....

Different people, different opinions... ;) Different people, different ways of seeing things...

However, my view on the background is the same as u (donkuok)... ;p But the wait... If I'm interested, I'm willing to wait... :)

with boats in the foreground after the fireworks start shooting, u'll see the drastic difference. ;)

Something ambitious from the NDP itself, using a PowerEx AA battery holder as a support for my 17-35 with my 1D.

New Caledonia shots. One security guy insulted my intelligence about "keeping behind the line". Imagine a bloke telling you to "keep behind the line", when I clearly did for safety proximity reason, only to be told I had to keep to the right. DUH!!! Anyway, i used a 1 liter Nalgene bottle for support.

Sorry, no money to buy a tripod. And I'm not too eager to carry excess weight along the way...

Was at Esplanade Bridge just now...for fun start counting the tripods from Esplanade theatre end...I estimated there were close to 300 tripods on the bridge alone, I didn't even count the ones on the bouganvilla patch behind the walkway.

Heard from a friend by about 5pm the whole right side of the bridge nearer to Merlion already filled up with tripods. :o
