Fireworks Extravaganza @ VivoCity (29 Nov)

hi, i'm new into photography but can i ask where is the best view for this fireworks? mount febar or sentosa?

Anybody knows from last year experience that its the low-level type of fireworks or the bigger middle level ones? I presume this is not a big event, so definitely no big ones.

If shoot from vivocity side, gotta check which areas are cordoned off. I shot last year and the fireworks weren't the low level type. Quite nice, in fact i thought it was better than ndp's one.

What about from Sentosa side?

From Sentosa side, you get the Vivo city as the background, also, maybe, a cruise ship as well. Should be pretty nice and not sure if you need a longer lens.

Well, this is just an idea. I am not that familiar with Sentosa. What I know is that directly opp Vivo is Resorts World, the enormous IR construction site. Dunno if there's any other location to shoot from.

Sentosa side should be not bad, but not sure if the ir site area has any place to stand.

harbourfront multi storey carpark overlooking sentosa and vivo.

no crowd and plenty of space.

but it seems like the harbourfront mcp is not really a good spot for fireworks sia after i went to reece.

view from 8th storey (the highest storey of the mcp)

according to the above pic, the view is kinda like 16:9 tv ratio. if the fireworks is fired from the vivo area, we may not be able to capture the high fireworks; if the fireworks is fired from the sea between sentosa and vivo, our right side is kinda blocked and similarly, we may not be able to capture the high fireworks.

even if we public are allowed to the 3rd floor of vivo (assuming the fireworks is fired from the sea), as there are several restaurants facing the sea, not sure if they will seal off part of the open corridors area to allow their customers to view fireworks or not.

juz some findings from my reece. hope it's useful.

wuahh... tomorrow i'm going to sentosa. at 2 pm but surely can get back to vivo before 9 pm... trying to take a nice picture from that... but still not having the tripod yet... haizz....

Fire work was nice and only last for few minutes. I am first time shooting firework so unable to catch well. Thanks for the information. Two of my photos below. Any comments welcome...

nice taken... at the time i'm in a 3rd floor of vivocity... can't find a place to get a nice shoot.... finally i only can shoot a fireworks in a sky only without the land.... haizzz :cry:

I was at 3rd level shooting from here.

Images a bit off bcos I didn't have a tripod with me and it sucks. Handheld and burst shot all the way. Haiz.
