Will the existence of the centurions ever be announced officially? I seriously doubt so

then when the MLC30 tanks arrive, it replace what? ;p landrover?

Er... Don't know if we are still friends with "Friend Up North"...

Singapore is alway talking about deterrent policy... That is why I find it very surprising that we did not counter the threat by MLRS...

Imagine one town like woodlands ganna taken out by a salvo from a platoon of MLRS... The military and politcial fall out would be huge even if we manage to counter attack and destroy their MLRS...

Maybe we should get SCUDs...

Don't u worry a single bit... MLRS will not be used on resident areas lah... too many PRs and workers from their own country in Singapore.. If they hit woodland, for example, their own citizens back home sure buay song... because all their own relatives, brothers and sisters leh..

Fire on our airports, naval bases and camps maybe... but I don't think they have that many rockets to use... if we can last through the first few wave of attacks till they dry out then it will be our showtime liao... ;)

interesting Minister Teo says the Leopard replaces the SM-1. mmm… mmm… mmm…

Nothing wrong with that...

Officially we only have SM-1 in our inventory. How you replace something which you don't have? ;)

When the Apaches come into S'pore this year, immediately we have them for show during NDP... :bsmilie:

If you have read MM Lee's memoirs, they have a mobile column when the bought the AMX Tank to show off/warn our neighbours...

We always have a history of showing off what we announce when we get it... The moment the new F-15SG comes... Same thing also... NDP fly past would show them to haolian also too... :bsmilie:

No lah.. if I remember correctly its the V-150 or V-200.
But enough to scare the sh*t out of them liao.. :bsmilie:

no no, it is the AMX-13 on the 1966 or 67 NDP.

you got to be kidding, now the place is so nice liao. like that all the old camps will sure to make you weep
Yellow!%20nehneh2.gif

I don't like there la. Everytime I go there dam depress. Only camp to do so to me. :)

Might be faster than 2010... The year with the official intro of the new tank would be the year with Mobile Column for NDP liao...

Garment must haolian abit and boost national pride also...
with the National Stadium closing for redevelopment, maybe they doing in Padang every year till new stadium comes up...so might have mobile column every year ;p

Be careful what we say here.
Don't provoke any reaction from other countries and don't name them.
Don't get belligerent and start posturing.
It's only a tank. You need everything else to make it function as part of a whole system.
Read Guderain and also on the battle of Kursk.

its the same...the Americans produce it under license...

I rem reading from Jane's a long time back, the Abrams wears British armour, mounts a German gun and has fire control that's French/Italian/or-something? So the only thing Yank in the tank is the engine..??

Also from Jane's past issues, the "safety" distance of the 120mm gun was rated about 20km..
That's okay if your shooting range and butt is in a wasteland but HERE..??
20 clicks is like, is like Hougang to Clementi right?

yup it wears the chobham armour developed near the village of Chobham in Surrey, England.
of course the engine is American, its a gas guzzler! :bsmilie:

what do you mean "safety distance"? the distance behind the butt? well, we use a hillside for butt, so that's ok as long as the conducting officer makes damn sure the gun isn't pointed out of the zone.

is it!? heng ah haha. ;p

Emergency vehicles like Private Ambulances and Fire Engines (usually owned by Airports or Oil refineries) are also Road Tax exempt. So are vehicles not used on public roads like tractors and forklift.

The Leopard 2A4 uses a big cannon 120mm L44. Is it also equipped with a big Canon 1Ds Mark II? hehe

Hint: if our tankies go to war, they won't be fighting on home soil ;) We gonna take the war to the enemy before they even reach our shores.

If you are talking about making all units and services function as a complete system, then I think Singapore is way ahead of many countries in this region...

We never need to use our military assets to provoke a reaction from them... Their election year automatic fire salvos here liao... :bsmilie:

Wonder how they are going to bring the tanks over to enemy soil...
